What we do

Our mission is to protect the four elements of nature: water, earth, wind and fire. We provide environmental technologies for municipal and industrial clients in the fields of water and air treatment, waste treatment as well as energy recovery. We are committed to reduce our clients water, energy, waste and carbon footprint.

We are a market leader in biogas production from industrial wastewater treatment and our municipal wastewater treatment plants are amongst the largest on the African continent. We provide safe drinking water in countries with water shortage. Our air competence center is located in France and counts more than 500 references in cleaning off-gas en flue gases. Our thermal treatment solutions are state-of-the-art designs capable of treating large volumes of municipal, industrial and medical and waste and waste. We are a pioneer in the production of green energy from organic waste, our biomass-to-energy plant in Ieper is our R&D center and a reference in biogas production.

Our services range from design and build to the operation and maintenance of treatment plants. The Waterleau global office is located in Wespelaar (Haacht), but our network of local offices is spread around the world. Our track record counts more than 5000 references in 85 countries.

Project Manager

Head Office, Wespelaar (Haacht) - Belgium

Position Summary

Looking for an experienced engineer with strong project and people skills, managing international (waste) water treatment projects.

Job Responsibilities

You have a key role within the organization, managing your projects from design to the start-up of the plant within budget and respecting deadlines.
The project manager deals with the cost follow up, planning and quality control of the project.
As Project manager, you steer a multi-functional team, to cover all elements & needs of large technical projects, until the successful start-up of the new plant.
You are the first point of contact for our client (with regard to planning, contractual and financial aspects) and interface between customer and all teams within Waterleau.
You recruit and manage all subcontractors.
You are responsible for strong internal and external communication with all stakeholders.
You report directly to the VP Projects.

Required skills and Experience

Master in Engineering or equivalent by technical experience.
At least 5 years experience in managing international projects.
Knowledge of environmental technologies is an asset.
Proven people skills, excellent project management skills.
You have a strong personality, positive minded and problem solver.
You are a good communicator, team player who leads his/ her team towards an excellent result.
Willing to travel frequently to the several sites.
Good knowledge of French and English (both written & verbal).
